Vortex Thermal Film Heat Exchanger Unit
1. Working Principle
This unit consists of a vortex thermal film heat exchanger, a circulation pump, a make-up pump, etc. It utilizes the heat exchanger to transfer the high-level thermal energy of the heating medium through the metal surface to the medium being heated, lowering the temperature of the heating medium and raising the temperature of the heated medium to the required temperature.
Workflow of Vortex Thermal Film Heat Exchanger Unit
The return water from the heating system, after treatment by the desander, is pressurized by the circulation pump and enters heat exchanger 1 to exchange heat with the hot medium (steam). The condensate amount is regulated by controlling the flow rate of the heating medium through a temperature control device to ensure that the secondary water outlet temperature meets the design requirements before being sent to the heating system. After the heat exchanger releases heat and condenses into water, it enters the make-up water tank through the drain device.
The system is pressure-regulated. A make-up pump, controlled by a frequency converter, continuously supplies water to the heated water system at a variable flow rate and constant head. When the pressure is too high, the safety valve automatically opens to maintain balance. Alternatively, a high-level water tank or a floor-standing expansion water tank can be used for system pressure regulation.
The make-up water tank is connected to the incoming water source, and the internal float valve controls the incoming water volume. A bypass pipe with a check valve is connected between the inlet and outlet pipes of the circulation pump to act as a pressure relief pipe, preventing water hammer accidents caused by sudden pump stops.

(1) The function of the heat exchanger unit is equivalent to that of a heat exchange station. Combined with collectors and distributors, it can supply heat to several loops. Heat exchanger units can replace heat exchange stations in any thermal engineering projects that require them.
