Plate heat exchangers use metal corrugated plates as the heat transfer surface. The heat transfer medium passes through a mesh-like flow between the plates. At a critical Reynolds number of 200, turbulence can be generated under a relatively low flow rate, thus enhancing heat transfer. They are characterized by high heat transfer efficiency, small footprint, and easy maintenance. However, plate heat exchangers are limited to operating conditions below 180℃ due to the influence of the thermal properties of the sealing materials.
