The blowdown water is adiabatically expanded and separated into secondary steam and wastewater in the continuous blowdown expander. After expansion, pressure reduction, and heat exchange in the expander, it is discharged. The secondary steam is led out by a special pipe, and the wastewater is automatically discharged through a float level valve or overflow regulating valve. The thermal energy can be recovered and reused. The continuous blowdown amount is automatically adjusted with the change of boiler feedwater load to maintain a relatively stable blowdown rate.
