Water treatment equipment - Cyclonic desander

The water treatment equipment - cyclone desander utilizes the principle of centrifugal separation for de-fouling. Because the inlet pipe is installed in an eccentric position of the cylindrical body, when water passes through the cyclone desander inlet pipe, it first forms a downward sloping circular flow along the tangential direction of the cylindrical body's circumference. The water flow rotates downward, and when it reaches a certain part of the cone, it turns and rotates upward along the axis of the cylindrical body, finally discharging through the outlet pipe. Impurities, under the action of fluid inertial centrifugal force and their own gravity, fall into the conical hopper at the bottom of the equipment along the wall of the cone. The lower part of the cone has no components to prevent impurities from rising. When the accumulated impurities in the hopper reach a certain level, simply open the manual butterfly valve, and the impurities can flow out of the cyclone desander under the action of the water flow. Therefore, this type of desander does not need to install inlet and outlet valves, bypass pipes and bypass valves, so the cyclone desander saves on floor space and initial investment.

Functional Overview

The hydrocyclone desander utilizes the principle of centrifugal separation for removing impurities. Because the inlet pipe is installed in an eccentric position on the body, when water passes through the hydrocyclone desander inlet pipe, it first forms a downward circular flow along the tangential direction of the body's circumference. The water flows downwards in a rotating motion. When the water flow reaches a certain part of the cone, it then rotates upwards along the axis of the body and is finally discharged through the outlet pipe. Impurities, under the action of fluid inertial centrifugal force and their own gravity, fall into the lower conical hopper of the equipment along the cone wall. The lower part of the cone has no components to prevent the debris from rising upwards. When the debris accumulated in the hopper reaches a certain level, simply opening the manual butterfly valve allows the debris to flow out of the hydrocyclone desander under the action of the water flow. Therefore, this type of desander does not need to install inlet and outlet valves, bypass pipes, and bypass valves, so the hydrocyclone desander saves on floor space and initial investment.

The hydrocyclone desander is a highly efficient desander with extremely convenient and reliable cleaning, corresponding to an average capacity of 1.8g/cm³. 3 For iron rust, sand, and other impurities, its separation particle size is 0.07mm. When the particle size is 0.3mm, its impurity removal efficiency can reach 97%, with absolutely no possibility of blockage, and no special degassing is required. It is currently the only non-blocking desander, providing unparalleled advantages over conventional filter-type desanders in protecting the safe operation of the water system.

The hydrocyclone desander can remove impurities during operation, without having to shut down the pump. During cleaning, open the drain ball valve, and the impurities collected by the desander will be discharged with the wastewater until clear water flows out, at which point the ball valve is closed. During installation, there is no need to introduce the wastewater pipe to the drain.

The local resistance coefficient of the hydrocyclone desander is small (only 3.0). Since there is no filter screen inside the hydrocyclone desander, there is no phenomenon of the filter screen being blocked by impurities, which increases the system resistance, insufficient flow, and imbalance of system head loss. A filter screen can also be set according to the filter accuracy and other requirements.

Application Range
Municipal central heating, central air conditioning systems, geothermal water systems, circulating water treatment, etc.
