The re-injection filter is a widely used terminal re-injection device in geothermal water treatment systems. Its main function is to remove impurities such as mud and sand and suspended solids from the water before re-injecting it into the re-injection well to protect the geothermal reservoir and achieve sustainable energy utilization. The filtration system includes a primary filter, a secondary filter, and a degassing tank (secondary degassing). The filtration system can filter out particles larger than 3um.

Structure and Function

The re-injection filter skid consists of a degassing tank (optional), a primary filter, a secondary filter, inlet and outlet shut-off valves, a bypass shut-off valve, a vent and drain valve, a rotary flange digital water meter, connecting components, a skid base, and a control room (added depending on the site conditions). The filter cartridges in the primary and secondary filter tanks are removable and replaceable. The filtration system needs to be equipped with overpressure relief and alarm functions. Overpressure relief, triggered by re-injection blockage, will not affect excessive pressure in the system pipeline.
